The committee’s mission is to transform lives by providing direct financial assistance to Lincoln University students from the DMV region. They aim to: 

• Empower Future Leaders: Invest in students who demonstrate academic promise and a commitment to their community.
• Ensure Equity: Use education as a tool for social and economic equity by supporting those with significant financial need.
• Sustain the Legacy: Maintain the heritage of Lincoln University as the first degree-granting HBCU by fostering a strong alumni-to-student support network.

The committee envisions a thriving community of Lincoln University scholars who are financially equipped to complete their degrees and become impactful alumni. Key goals include: 

• Closing the Funding Gap: Raising consistent funds through community events like the LU Lion Paint & Sip and Fitness Bootcamps.
• Alumni Engagement: Building a lifelong connection between DMV alumni and current students to provide mentorship and professional opportunities.
